Graphic Design Student Puts Skills to Use at Wyndmoor Signs Center
WYNDMOOR, Penn. – Thanks to one local college student, Image360 NW Philly recently debuted its new “beast” of a flatbed printer.
As part of its commitment to being embedded in the community, the longstanding Wyndmoor print and signage shop regularly partners with local colleges to offer students opportunities to apply their educational career paths in a real-world business setting.
Most recently, the center worked with a local graphic design student Kevin Mowry to create a custom look for one of its center's flatbed printers. To maximize the opportunity for the student’s professional development, Image360 acted as Mowry’s client, allowing him to put his design skills to actions while also developing client management skills.
Mowry provided the Image360 team with a sit-down consultation, where he drew up a variety of concepts he presented to the center’s team. With final approval on the design idea from the team, Kevin created a printer design called the “Beast,” which was named for the monster-esque look that the design added to the printer.
“Fostering opportunities to support the talent and development of local students is something that Image360 takes great pride in.
